This type of post usually gives me a twinge of schadenfreude. Fucking mediocre men finally getting a comeuppance.
But…
In this instance, I had a physical reaction. I was awash with secondhand humiliation for this man.
This woman didn’t simply call out bad interview experience she heard about, but she went on to call him less than in profession and character.
Okay. Uncalled for. But I get it. Good on you for protecting your team.
It’s the timing and photo though. It tells the audience what you’re really doing. Bloviating and posturing under the guise of protecting.
This post is meant to shame and berate. You know the candidate will see the post since you’re clearly still in interviews. You know how ashamed this man will feel when he reads this.
You know, because I assume you are showing the world how you feel about yourself. You’re showing us how you were treated when you made a mistake during your formative years.
Ma’am, this isn’t leadership. This is cruelty meant to humiliate on a public stage from a position of power.
You might deliver results for your company now, but when you fail to temper your bullying, you are a liability.
You might have dodged a bullet with this man, but if this is who you are, he certainly isn’t missing anything.
